A Gulf News report said moderate flooding occurred in some areas due to the rain. Heavy rain with lightning struck Sharjah and Al Ain late Monday night. Heavy hail also fell in many places during this period. Meanwhile, videos of heavy rain, hail and thunder in various parts including Dubai and Al Ain have been shared by many people on social media platforms.
According to the Meteorological Department, more rain is expected until Wednesday. The National Meteorological Center (NCM) said that the weather will be unstable and the sky will be partly cloudy. Apart from moderate to heavy rain, a significant drop in temperature is expected with lightning and showers and thunder in some places.

In view of this heavy rain, Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince and Chairman of the Executive Council, has directed that Ajman government employees will be free to work from anywhere from Tuesday, April 16.
