He warned King Charles before a major public appearance at the Easter Service

King Charles has been warned that his appearance at the Easter service on Sunday would not be easy for the queen as his health has already deteriorated.

Speaking on Charles’ appearance, a royal expert claimed that although the queen was “determined” to attend the service, it would be difficult for him to consider his condition.

In conversation with GB News, former BBC Royal Correspondent, Michael Cole, said that “the effects of his cancer treatment” can be seen in the latest portrait of Charles released by Buckingham Palace.

The queen could be seen sitting at her desk in the 18th century Palace Room, alongside an arrangement of spring flowers in the picture released to mark Easter Weekend.

Cole said Charles’ “less fuller face” and “thinning lips” showed how much his health had been affected after being diagnosed with cancer at the age of 75.

He went on to say that Charles’ cancer diagnosis and treatment “hasn’t been easy” and is “obviously very stressful for anyone.”

“While you bear the burden of being the head of state at the same time as you are being treated, I am sure it is not easy for him,” he added.

Cole said Charles was “determined” to attend Sunday’s Easter Service at St George’s Chapel in Windsor, before talking about how his appearance would be encouraging to his fans.
