DC Gurdaspur and Secretary Environment Department, Punjab had to pay a fine of Rs 1 lakh each for not appearing in the main bench of the National Green Tribunal, Delhi on March 20 in the solid waste management case. The case relates to a complaint filed by Dinanagar activist Sunil Dutt against the Dinanagar Municipal Council regarding solid waste management.
