Not a single Muslim candidate has been given a ticket

Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), the Congress alliance, has not fielded any minority candidate. Of the total 48 Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra, not a single Muslim candidate has been given a ticket. So, he wrote to Congress chief Mallikarjuna Kharge that he will not campaign for the elections.

I don’t have an answer to people’s questions

In the letter, he questioned why there is no candidate from the minority community this time. If I go to people to canvass for votes, I don’t have answers to the questions they ask. When it comes to campaigning, party leaders and workers are asking themselves, “Congress ko Muslim mata chahiye, kandida kyuam nahi (Congress needs Muslim votes, but what about candidates)?” So the Congress leader said that he has decided not to campaign for the third, fourth and fifth phase of the elections.
