SRINAGAR: On public demand, Mega Multi Specialty Health Camp was organized at UPHC Tailbal Block Hazratbal by Government Medical College, Srinagar through Hazratbal Block Medical Officer.
Head / Dean of CMC Srinagar Prof. (Dr.) Masood Tanveer Provided Experts from Govt. Medical College and Affiliated Hospitals from the Department of Medicine, Department of Orthopaedics, Department of Ophthalmology and Department of Community Medicine. Consultant Gynae/Ob and Paramedics from Block Hazratbal also participated in the said Camp.
The Camp was inaugurated by Dr. Waseem Raja, Assistant Professor, Department of Community Medicine, CMC Srinagar. Free Clinical and Laboratory services were provided to approximately 550 patients. NCD screening, sputum collection for TB investigation, distribution of free medicine and special counters for the gold card were the highlights of the said Sport.
The camp was supported by the local Masjid Committee and other Civil Society Members of the Area. The local people greatly appreciated the efforts made by Dr. Fara Shafi, BMO Hazratbal in holding the Mega Camp and demanding more camps in future.
