Islamabad: Nepra has increased electricity price and Nepra has approved electricity price hike for the entire country including Karachi.

Nepra has approved an increase in the price of electricity by 2 rupees 75 paise per unit. The approval to increase the price of electricity has been given in the context of the adjustment of the second quarter of this financial year. Nepra has sent the decision to increase the price of electricity to the government federal.
According to Nepra, additional collections from consumers will be made in April, May and June.

The increase in the price of electricity will also apply to electricity consumers. The increase will put an additional burden of Rs 85 billion 20 crore on the consumers.
