CBI has registered a case against five influential people in connection with land grabbing and sexual harassment in Sandashkhali, West Bengal. An officer gave this information. He said that this case deals with land grabbing, where the women of the victim’s family were also sexually harassed. However, CBI is yet to reveal the names of the five accused.
The Calcutta High Court on April 10 ordered a court-supervised CBI probe into allegations of crimes against women and land grabbing in Sandeshkhali. According to him, an impartial investigation is necessary for the sake of justice. Let us tell you that CBI has also issued an email id for filing complaints in such cases. Through this, CBI has received a large number of complaints.
The CBI sent a team to Sandashkali to trace the allegations, where the alleged allegations could be verified. During the visit to the violence-hit area, CBI registered an FIR on charges of land grabbing and assaulting women.
