Buy only certified gold
If you want to buy gold then always buy certified gold with Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) hallmark. According to the new rule, gold will no longer be sold without a six-digit alphanumeric marking. Just as there is a 12-digit code in the Aadhaar card, similarly gold will have a 6-digit hallmark code.

This is called Hallmark Unique Identification Number ie HUID. This number can be alphanumeric ie something like this – AZ4524. Through the hallmarking it was possible to find out how many carats of gold.
