Madhya Pradesh High Court has given an important decision regarding Makhanlal Chaturvedi Journalism University (MCU). The court has canceled the appointment of former Vice Chancellor in charge of MCU Sanjay Dwivedi and Professor Pavitra Srivastava. According to the information, both were appointed against the rules in the year 2009. The head of the Department of Mass Communication and Public Relations and Advertising was not included in the interview panel of the selection committee, which was mandatory. The court ordered the university to publish a new advertisement and conduct interviews for recruitment to the post of Reader in the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication.
Dr. Professor Ashutosh Mishra filed a petition in the year 2015.
