The Pakistan Bar Council demanded the formation of a committee to investigate the allegations of judges.
In the Pakistan Bar Council statement from Islamabad, it was said that a committee consisting of 3 senior judges of the Supreme Court should be formed, the allegations of Islamabad High Court judges must be investigated.
Pakistan Bar Council said that the concerns of honorable judges need to be addressed immediately. The independence of the judiciary cannot be compromised.
According to the Pakistan Bar Council statement, the competent authority to address the concerns is not the Judicial Council, but the Chief Justice of Pakistan. The Judicial Council is the forum for complaints against Supreme Court judges.
