People from 8 villages adjacent to the Bilaspur-Ratanpur highway have been disturbed by the passage of high voltage power lines for several years. In each village there are about 20 towers, through which a current of 400 to 800 KV flows. A tingling sensation is felt when walking barefoot on the ground around these towers. Mild electrocution can also be caused by touching metal objects, hand pumps, trees, plants and cattle. To avoid electrocution, people here wear long boots or gum boots. Agriculture is not possible on the thousand dunams of land around the tower.
