SRINAGAR: Amar Singh College today organized the election mascot making competition under Systematic Voter Education and Election Participation (SVEEP) to spread awareness about the election process among young voters and first time voters.

The event was organized as part of SVEEP initiatives headed by District Election Officer Srinagar, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Uddin Bhatt.

The event, which was organized under the leadership of Prof. (Dr.) Sheikh Ajaz Bashir, Director of Kashmir Nodal Division Colleges and Amar Singh Principal College, witnessed an extraordinary turnout of students eager to contribute to the promotion of election participation and voter awareness.

More than 60 students showcased their artistic skills to promote the biggest festival of Indian democracy, making the event a resounding success.

The proceedings of the event were held in the Teizer Hall and the opening speech was given by the principal.

Professor Aijaz also emphasized that the election mascot will play a big role in these campaigns by inspiring ethical and effective voting.

Prof. Mushtaq Ahmed Rather, Convener ELC, Prof. Shanwaz Montazir, Prof. Farbaiz Ahmed Luna and Dr. Zubir Nazir participated in the event and motivated the students.
