Achi news desk-crime reporter | An old man who was seriously injured after being hit by a car near Komhartoli village in Batia Majholia police station area, late on Tuesday evening, died during treatment at GMCH. The deceased has been identified as Rameshwar Pandey alias Paras Pandey (70 years), a resident of Paras Pakdi Bazar 2, Majholia. The police conducted a post-mortem on the body and handed it over to the family. On the other hand, after the collision, the villagers caught the driver. The driver and the car were handed over to the police. Sandeep Kumar, son of the deceased, said that his father went to the fields about half a kilometer from the house on Tuesday evening. from where they returned. Meanwhile, a speeding car hit him from the front. He was seriously injured in the incident. With the help of nearby people, he was admitted to the Government Medical College Hospital for treatment. There he died late at night during treatment. According to sources in the village, the deceased has two sons Shashi Bhushan Pandey (45 years), Sandeep Kumar (30 years) and two daughters Bindu Devi (40 years) and Sangita Devi (28 years). Majulia police station in-charge Akhilesh Kumar Mishra said the car has been seized. The arrested driver was questioned.
