92 hotels fined Rs 172,000 for cutting the price of bread Achi-News

Multan (News Desk) The divisional administration has detected cutting of bread prices in 92 hotels during a special drive to prevent artificial inflation and imposed a fine of Rs 172,000 on the culprits.

According to Multan Commissioner’s office sources, three people were also arrested for selling bread at a price higher than the recommended price.

The Punjab government has fixed the price of bread at Rs 16 (100 grams) and the price of naan (120 grams) at Rs 20.

In a statement Commissioner Maryam Khan urged the citizens to cooperate with the departmental administration and register their complaints on 080002345.

He clearly stated that those who are found involved in illegally extracting money from the public will not be tolerated.
