Thanks to the central government’s welfare schemes, the number of women voters has increased rapidly in the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections. According to the State Bank of India (SBI) research report, out of 23 major states where elections were held in the last five years, in 18 states, more women voters voted than men. In 10 of these 18 states, the same government returned as before. Women voters, who will turn out to be a game changer in politics in the country, will vote more than men in the 2029 elections. Of the total 73 voters who will exercise their franchise, only 37 million will be women.

Only 15 percent of the total MPs in the 17th Lok Sabha were women. In the first block sabha this number was 5 percent. According to the report, the total number of voters in these elections is 96.8 million. A total of 68 million people can exercise their franchise. In this, 33 million, i.e. 49% will be women voters. 85.3 lakh women will vote for the first time. According to the report, by 2047 (likely elections in 2049), the number of women voters will increase to 55 percent (50.6 million) while the number of men will decrease to 45 percent (41.4 million). During this period there will be a total of 115 million Voters. Of these, 80 percent of people, i.e. 92 million, can vote.

81% women in Indian stand-up

Beneficiary women are at the forefront of all government programs. For example, their share in Standup India is 81%. Women have 68% share in Mudra Loan, 37% in PM Suraksha Bima Yojana and 27% in PM Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana.

The number of women voters is increasing rapidly in these states… Gujarat, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Uttarakhand and Telangana.
