Easter falls in March this year, bringing a three-day weekend for some and a four-day weekend for lucky others.

Rubbish and recycling
- There is no collection on Friday, March 29 or Monday, April 1.
- Friday’s material will be collected on Saturday, March 30. Monday’s collection moves to Tuesday, April 2 and the collection moves forward a day for the rest of the week.
Kingston Area Recycling Centre
- Closed Friday and Monday. Open Saturday from 8 am to 4 pm
Kingston Transit
- No service on the road on Friday, regular service on Saturday and Sunday, with limited service on Monday.
- The KAS Travel Booking Office is closed on Fridays, open regular hours on Saturdays and Sundays, and on Mondays from 7:30 am to 11 am

- Administrative offices, including housing and social services and provincial offices at 362 Montreal Street: Closed from Friday to Monday
- Kingston Utilities and Kingston Hydro: Closed Friday and Monday. In the event of a utility emergency, customers can call the 24-hour Utilities Kingston number at 613-546-1181 or the electric or natural gas utility provider for their area.
- Kingston Frontenac Public Library Branches: Closed Friday, Sunday and Monday; opening normal hours on Saturdays.
- Leisure Facilities: All leisure facilities are closed on Friday and Monday; regular opening hours on Saturday and Sunday.
- INVISTA Center: The ice at the INVISTA Center will be open for a hockey tournament on Friday. The fitness room at the INVISTA Center will be closed on Friday and Monday.
- Pumping Museum: Closed Friday – Monday, reopens April 2.
- Kingston Grand Theater Box Office: Open Friday between 5:30 and 8pm and Saturday from 12 to 4:30pm Closed Sunday and Monday.
- Made Center:Closed Friday and Monday; regular opening hours on Saturday and Sunday.
