A person shared a picture of Brendan McCullum. He is wearing the jersey of the first season of IPL. The difference between the KKR 2008 jersey and this year’s jersey is stark and deep. And fans don’t like that difference at all.

Earlier KKR jerseys were attractive. Many people think so. On the helmet was written “Kolkata Knight Riders” in golden letters. Shah Rukh Khan’s franchise decided to revamp their official jersey for IPL 2010. The black shade is gone. Now the shirt is purple.

KKR has kept purple and gold color combination in this jersey. But this time they have chosen a specific pattern. And that’s what fans really don’t like. Many did not like the golden texture of the shirt.

“This is the biggest fall in sports history,” wrote one X on the handle. Notably, former KKR captain Gautam Gambhir has returned as a mentor. Knights last won the trophy under Gambhir’s leadership in 2014. KKR finished seventh last season.
