Due to the rapid change in weather in South Punjab, the crop grown on 6.4 lakh acres was badly affected.

According to the sources, due to the continuous rains since April 18, the crop cultivated on 64 lakh acres has been badly affected.

On the other hand, the Punjab government was supposed to start buying wheat from April 22, but due to the delay in buying wheat, farmers are forced to sell their cultivated wheat on the streets of the city.

Farmer organizations have called for a protest outside the Punjab Assembly on April 29. In this regard, Chairman Kisan Etihad Haseeb Anwar demanded that the government ensure that wheat is purchased at the fixed support price.
