On April 19, the first phase of voting for four seats in Bihar took place. The total number of votes was 49.26%.

Voting for the second phase of the Lok Sabha elections will begin tomorrow at 7 am. At this stage, voting will be held in 5 seats of Bihar, Kishanganj, Katihar, Purnia, Bhagalpur and Banka. There are 50 candidates in the campaign, of which 47 are men and only three are women. At this stage, a direct contest is seen for three seats and a three-way contest for two seats.

93 lakh 96 thousand 298 voters will vote in these 5 Lok Sabha constituencies. Of these, 48,81437 are male voters and 45,14455 are female voters. While the number of voters of the third gender is 306. Whereas there are 2379 voters who are more than 100 years old. 13,7773 voters will vote for the first time. A total of 9,322 stands were produced for these.

Voting will start from 7 am

None of the five Lok Sabha constituencies have been declared Naxal-affected. Voting will take place anywhere between 7 am and 6 pm. Because of the heat, the timing of only a few stalls in the bank was reduced to 4:00 p.m.

Women will take command of 29 stalls

Out of a total of 9,322 booths, 8,063 booths were made rural and 1259 urban booths. While 37 sample booths were made. The responsibility for operating 29 stalls was given to women. Here, women will handle everything from security guards to polling officials. If seen in terms of voters, Kishanj is the smallest Lok Sabha constituency while Bhagalpur is the largest. There are total 18,2994 voters in Kishanj and 1983031 voters in Bhagalpur.

Direct competition for 3 seats and triple competition for 2

Out of these five Lok Sabha seats, there is a direct contest between India Alliance and NDA in three Lok Sabha seats Kathiahar, Bhagalpur and Banka. whereas there is a three-way competition in Kishanj and Purnia.

In Purnia, RJD’s Bima Bharti and JDU’s Santosh Kushwaha are giving a tough fight to independent Pappu Yadav. The main contest in Kishanj is between sitting Congress MP Javed Azad and AIMIM’s Akhtarul Iman. JDU candidate Master Mujahid is trying to recruit Hindu voters along with Muslims.
