GUWAHATI: Two persons from the revenue circle office were nabbed by the Directorate of Vigilance and Prevention of Corruption (DVAC), Assam, on charges of bribery in Kamrup on April 22.

According to information, Khazrat Ali, the Gaon Pradhan Mahamri Gaon, was allegedly nabbed after allegedly accepting a bribe in the revenue circle office of Nagarbara, located in Kamrup district.

This operation also exposed Anup Kr. Chowdhury, Lot Mandel of the same office, who collaborated with Ali in the act.
Ali and Choudhury, who demanded bribes for assistance in Namjari-related works, were caught by DVAC in the process.
DVAC appealed to X to shut down, “Today @DIR_VAC_ASSAM caught red-handed Hazarat Ali, Gaon Pradhan, Khameri Gaon, for accepting bribe at O/O Revenue Circle of Nagarbera, District-Kamrup, in conspiracy with Anup Kr. Chowdhury, Lot Mandel for Namjari related works.

In the same trap operation, Anup Kr. Chowdhury, Lot Mandal of O/O Nagarbera Revenue Circle, Dist-Kamrup, was also caught demanding bribe and accepting it through Gaon Pradhan, in connivance with him.
