Assam: General Manager of North East Frontier Railway, Chetan Kumar Srivastava, today conducted a thorough inspection of North Lakhimpur-Dibrugarh section under Tinsukia Division. During this visit, the General Manager was accompanied by Uttam Prakash, Divisional Railway Manager, Tinsukia, along with the officers of the Headquarters and the officers of the Divisions.

The General Manager monitors the progress of all types of development works, electrification works of different stations in Upper Assam. He also interacted with the railway officials of the station and inspected the safety equipment. He also suggested better performance of railway workers at various levels in terms of passenger safety, security and amenities.

During this visit the General Manager inspected the construction work plan of new station, crew lobby, foot over bridge, platform and other passenger facilities at Lakhimpur North, Bardalni, Dhemaji, Tongani, Dhamalgaon and Dibrugarh stations. He carried out an inspection of windows trailing from Dhemaji to Bogibeel Bridge North Block Hut and from Bogibeel Bridge North Block Hut to Tongani. Important areas such as railway crossing gate, marshalling yard, training yard, small and large bridge, running room, health unit were also visited.

Thoroughly inspects the ongoing activities of these departments and examines development plans. Station redevelopment activities under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme to provide better facilities to passengers were also examined.

The General Manager’s assessment of the ongoing work reflected the dedicated efforts of the North East Frontier Railway to provide passengers with a safe, efficient and comfortable travel experience.
