In light of the summer vacation, the Ministry of Railways decided that they will operate 43 percent more train trips this summer, so that more passengers can travel easily. The demand for travel increases during the summer. In light of this, Indian Railways operates a record 9,111 trips in the summer season.
The ministry said that additional trains are planned that will connect major destinations throughout the country, so that passengers can travel easily. Domestically, travel demand increases in summer in states such as Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Odisha, West Bengal, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Delhi. This time additional tours will be launched to these countries.
The ministry gave these instructions to all regions
- Guidelines for ensuring the availability of drinking water at train stations
- Detailed arrangements for crowd control at all the central and important train stations.
- Senior officers should be alert to supervise people
- Deployment of RPF personnel to ensure a queuing system for entry to coaches in general class.
- Place trained staff in the CCTV control room to monitor and provide assistance to passengers
- GRP-RPF is deployed on the bridge to prevent trampling
Two million people have traveled on Vande Bharat so far
Recently, while praising Vand Bhart, officials said that it had become a new identity of modernization. Railways said that five years ago on February 15, 2019, two trains started running between Delhi and Varanasi. Today there are 102 Van & Bharat trains in Israel. 102 Vande Bharat today serves 284 districts in 24 states and union territories. The distance covered by Vande Bharat trains in the financial year 2023-24 is equivalent to 310 revolutions around the earth. Since its launch in February 2019, two million people have traveled on Vande Bharat. Vande Bharat provides facilities equivalent to an aircraft.
