Jessica Naz is keen to continue learning from the club’s “born winner” captain Bethany England as Tottenham look to end their season.

Spurs could return to WSL action when their side take on Manchester United, the team they face in the FA Cup final next month.

Rising star Naz is among the players to impress for Tottenham this term, with the side sitting in sixth place and six points off the Red Devils.

Apart from a vital equalizer in Spurs’ FA Cup semi-final win last Sunday, the forward has registered three assists and one goal in 17 top-flight appearances.

And she enjoys picking the brains of England, 29, who won four league titles with Chelsea before her record-breaking move to Tottenham last January.

Naz, 23, said: “I talk to Bethany a lot. I played as a nine and out and learned from her.

“She is a born winner also from her experience at Chelsea, won trophies and just her mentality, the way she works.

“I learned from her, I asked questions and she was a great role model to look up to and someone to work with.”

Against Leicester last weekend, Naz scored a late equalizer that paved the way for her side to seal an extra-time victory in the FA Cup semi-finals for the first time ever.

The showpiece Villarreal will hope they can maintain their winning form when they face a Man United side who have never lost to Spurs in the WSL.

He said: “When they have a good day, they are one of the best teams in this league.

“They have quality players and a strong bench. If they have a good day, we are going to struggle and have to work very hard in defense.

“But on the other hand, they haven’t been that consistent in their performances. So I think we have a good chance to complete this game and make sure we can play our style.”

The 12pm clash at Le Sports Village will see Grace Clinton absent from the visitors’ line-up with the Red Devils midfielder currently on loan to Spurs.

And Mark Skinner admits he is keen to welcome the England star, 21, back to United this summer, although Willemann will hope to make her temporary move permanent.

The head of United said: “We could not give her the protocols.

“But now she’s proven she’s in a space where she’s had that exposure and I’m looking forward to getting her back to do that for Manchester United.

“There’s a lot more we can give her.”
