The two-week ban on meetings with political and ordinary prisoners has been lifted in Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail.
It may be recalled that the Punjab government had banned meetings on March 12 due to security concerns.
According to the jail administration, meetings have resumed in Adiala Jail from today, the purpose of the ban was to protect more than 7,000 inmates, including the founder of PTI.
The Superintendent of Adiala Prison says that the ban on meetings in the prison has been lifted from today, the relatives of all the prisoners will be able to meet in accordance with the usual SOPs.
