Special Judge Kaveri Baweja of Rouse Avenue Courts directed Tihar Jail authorities to produce Kejriwal and Kavitha through a virtual conference on May 7 at 2 pm. Kejriwal was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on March 21, while Kavitha was arrested by the ED on March 15 and later by the CBI during her judicial remand.

On April 10, the Delhi High Court dismissed Kejriwal’s plea against his arrest, stating that the ED had sufficient evidence, including statements from informants and the AAP candidate himself, to indicate that Kejriwal had received money for the Goa elections . Kejriwal appealed this decision to the Supreme Court, which issued a notice of the argument but refused to grant interim relief.

BRS leader Kavitha has also been denied interim bail in the ED case, with her regular bail applications pending before the trial court. Other AAP leaders, including Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh, are also accused in the ED case. While Sisodia remained in jail, Singh was recently granted bail by the Supreme Court following a waiver by ED.
