The Jharkhand High Court continuously issues orders on the deplorable state of Ranchi’s water sources. After the harshness of the court, the officials have once again turned their attention to the river Harmu. Harmu river, on which JUDCO spent Rs 85 crore for its renovation, is now being prepared to be turned into a drain and handed over to the corporation.

A committee has been formed to hand over the river to the corporation. In this
