Greaves Electric Mobility Private Limited’s Ampere two-wheeler brand today, that is Tuesday, launched the Ampere Nexus electric scooter. Ampere Nexus was introduced in two versions. The company has kept the introductory price of the base EX at Rs 1.09 lakh and the top-spec ST at Rs 1.19 lakh.
Both prices are ex-showroom. After the initial offer ends, the prices of the scooter will increase by Rs 10,000. The Ampere Nexus electric scooter is designed, developed and manufactured entirely in India. This scooter comes with four color options – Zaskar Aqua, Indian Red, Lunar White and Steel Grey.

Range claim of 136 kilometers
The Nexus has a 3kW IP67 rated LFP battery and a 4kW peak power motor. The company claims that Ampere Nexus gives a range of 136 kilometers on a full charge. With the help of fast charging, the scooter can be charged in 3 hours 22 minutes.
It has five different riding modes, in ‘power’ mode the scooter can run at a maximum speed of 93 km/h. At the same time, the scooter can run at a maximum speed of 63 kilometers in city mode and 42 kilometers in economy mode. Apart from these three modes, it also has a mode Limp Home, which turns on automatically when the battery is less than 20%, besides this, it also provides a reverse mode.
Amp Nexus: braking and ground clearance
The Ampere Nexus electric scooter features a new chassis and sub-frame, equipped with a telescopic fork and double shock absorber suspension. The scooter has 12-inch alloy wheels, while braking is provided with a disc brake at the front and a drum brake at the back. It also has a ground clearance of 170mm.

Apart from LED lighting, other features including hill hold assist, side stand alert, navigation, customizable ride mode have been provided in Ampere Nexus. At the same time, the new electric scooter has a 7-inch digital console, equipped with features such as tracking speed, travel distance, charge level, Bluetooth connectivity, network connectivity.
Call alert feature is also provided in it. The company says this scooter sets new standards of comfort, style, performance, intelligence and safety.
