The police had received information that gambling was being played under the cover of a shop built just in front of Anuj Hotel in Poonam Cinema street near the bus stand in Gohana.
In Gohana, Sonipat, Haryana, the police have conducted a major raid on gambling addicts. At the same time the police arrested 24 people who were gambling with cards. A total of Rs 2 lakh 43 thousand 800, which was staked in gambling, has been recovered from them. The police have registered a case against them at the Gohana City police station. An investigation is ongoing into the matter.
