It will snow in some of the upper areas. Due to the activation of a western disturbance, the weather pattern will change and a drop in temperature will occur.
Director of Meteorological Centre, Shimla, Surendra Paul said that due to activation of Western Disturbance, the weather will remain bad till April 20. During this period there is a possibility of a hail storm along with rain and snow. A yellow alert has been issued for the country. An orange alert has also been issued in some areas.
The biggest impact will be visible on April 19
While the weather will remain bad until April 20, the maximum impact will be seen on April 19. During this period there is a possibility of snowfall in the upper regions and rain in other parts of the country along with a hailstorm and storm. In this framework, a yellow warning was issued for rain, snow and storm on April 19 and 20. Snow will be seen in the high altitude areas of Kinnaur, Lahaul Spiti, Shimla, Mandi, Kulu and Chamba, while there is a possibility of rain, hailstorm and thunderstorm in other parts of the state. However, due to the onset of summer, there was an increase in the minimum and maximum temperatures. An increase in temperature was recorded in the mountainous areas including the plains at night.
