Salon manager Will Pellison said: “I am so proud of the team at our Buchanan Street.

“It’s been an amazing year for us so far, starting with loads of award wins including winning Salon Team of the Year at our annual Rainbow Room International Awards, and now being recognized at the industry’s leading annual event The British Hairdressing Business Awards and being nominated in the top six salons in the UK as a whole not just in the team category Salon of the Year but also in the Salon of the Year category is truly amazing and so well deserved by our amazing and inspiring award winning team.

“Fingers are crossed that we can bring home both awards at the awards night on July 1st!”

Meanwhile, Laura Lee Kerr from Rainbow Room Academy on Howard Street in Glasgow also finished in the Educator of the Year category.

There are also nominations for Ricardo Corby (Franchisee of the Year) and Rachel McDonald (Salon Stylist of the Year), both from Rainbow Room International Bayer.

Laura said: “I’m absolutely thrilled to be a finalist in the British Business Awards for Hairdressers of the Year for the Educator of the Year category.

“I won the category in 2022 and 2023 and to win again in 2024 would be an incredible achievement.

“It will also put me in the Hall of Fame for winning the category three times! When you love what you do and have faith that your plans will grow into something meaningful that’s what gives you purpose.”

“Looking forward to the awards night with the rest of our amazing RRI family for some of the most sought after awards.”

Jane Lewis-Orr, Chief Executive of the British Hairdressing Business Awards, added: “The awards celebrate the talented and passionate teams and individuals who contribute to the greatness of British hairdressing.

“Once again, our panel of judges faced an outstanding group of nominees. To be shortlisted for these categories, nominees need to demonstrate a forward-thinking approach to salon management, as well as the results and reputation to back it up.

“The Rainbow Room International team should feel incredibly proud to have achieved this and finished alongside such impressive talent.”
