The second 100-meter long steel bridge for the Ahmedabad-Mumbai bullet train project was launched near Nadiad, Gujarat. The 1486 tonne meter steel bridge is manufactured in a workshop located in Bhuj district. This bridge was built at a height of 15.5 meters from the ground. This bridge was built keeping in mind the power outages and traffic planning of the Indian railway line.

The length of a steel bridge is from 60 meters to 130 meters
Officials said each production batch of steel was tested using ultrasonic testing (UT) at the manufacturer’s premises. This is the second of 28 bridges for the corridor. The first steel bridge was launched on National Highway 53 in Surat. 70,000 MT of specified steel was used in the construction of these steel bridges. The length of these steel bridges ranges from 60 meters to 130 meters.
