NEW DELHI: If the Congress government comes to power in the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that if the Congress Government comes to power, they will ask how much property you have and how many houses you have, it will the Congress takes one of them and destroys it.

Now Congress leaders have condemned this statement by Prime Minister Modi saying it is wrong and anti-poor. Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi’s close friend and Indian Foreign Congress President, Sam Pitroda (Sam Pitroda) has defended the issue of redistributing wealth to the public. This statement given by Pitroda is likely to be used by the BJP as a weapon against the Congress.

Sam Pitroda has given the example of America, there is an Inheritance Tax in America. If someone in America owns $100 million worth of assets and dies, they can only give 45% of the assets to their children. The remaining 55% of the property will be taken by the government. Then distribute to the poor. Sam Pitroda called it an interesting law.

‘If someone in India has assets worth 10 billion, after death they leave all the assets to their children. And the public, the poor, get nothing out of it. But American law says that you have created wealth in your generation and now that you are leaving, you must leave your wealth to the public when you die, not all, but only half of it . Sam Pitroda said, “I think it’s appropriate.”

“When we talk about wealth redistribution, we talk about new policies and programs,” said Sam Pitroda, “these are the things people need to discuss.” I don’t know what the conclusion will be at the end of the day but when we talk about wealth redistribution we are talking about new policies and new programmes. Pitroda said it is for the benefit of the poor people and not for the benefit of the rich.

After this statement by Sam Pitroda, BJP has once again gone against Congress, BJP IT cell head Amit Malaviya posted Pitroda’s video on Facebook and wrote that Congress is determined to destroy India. Quoting Pitroda’s statement, Malaviya said, “If the Congress comes, we will steal 50 per cent taxes from our hard assets.”

“This is a matter of policy. Sam Pitroda said that the Congress party will make a policy to improve the distribution of wealth, people are not getting minimum wages in India. We should decide on the minimum wage in the country and give that much money to the poor, this is wealth distribution. Today the rich don’t pay their peons, servants and domestics enough, but they spend that money on holidays in Dubai and London.’

Pitroda said that although I am talking about distributing money, I do not sit on a chair and say that I have so much money and I will distribute it to everyone, it is silly to think like this. If the Prime Minister of a country thinks like this, then I have a little doubt about his thinking. It says that you are really dealing with the policy issues of wealth redistribution, and when you ask for data, you are really trying to understand today’s distribution.
