One person is hospitalized after a stabbing in Montreal’s Saint Laurent district.
The Montreal Police Department (SPVM) received a 911 call at 4 a.m. about the incident on Blvd Marcel-Laurin near Blvd Cote-Verteau.
“When the officers arrived on the scene, they located a victim injured in his upper body,” said Sabrina Gauthier, spokeswoman for the Montreal police. “According to preliminary information, a man entered the store and made his way to the other side of the counter and stabbed the clerk.”
The suspect then fled the scene.
The victim was taken to the hospital, where his condition is still being checked.
A security perimeter was established to allow investigators to investigate the scene.
