In Arunachal Pradesh, incidents of violence were seen in eight polling stations on April 19 in the initial phase of the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections. In view of the incidents of violence, repeat ballots will be held in these polling stations on Wednesday, April 24. The Election Commission announced on Sunday that voting in these eight polling stations will begin at 6 am on Wednesday and end at 2 pm.

There was vandalism at the polling stations

According to media reports, during the assembly elections in Arunachal Pradesh, there was violence at polling stations along with electronic voting machines were also vandalized. Among the eight polling stations where a repeat vote is to take place, voting is taking place in Sario under the Bamang Assembly seat of Kemang East District and Longto Lot in the Nyapin Assembly seat of Kurong Kumei.

Voting is going on in Dingsar, Bogiya Siyum, Jimbari and Langi polling stations under Nacho area of ​​Upper Subansiri district. Apart from this, re-voting will also take place at Bugna and Moron polling stations under Romong Assembly Constituency in Siang District.

Let us inform that about 76.44 percent of the total 8,92,694 voters voted on April 19 to elect 50 MLAs from the 60 seats of the Arunachal Pradesh Assembly. The ruling BJP won unopposed in 10 constituencies.

A repeat survey was also conducted in Manipur

Re-voting was held in 11 polling stations not only in Arunachal Pradesh but also in Manipur. The Lok Sabha elections are taking place even amid the ongoing violence in Manipur. Due to allegations of fraud in the first phase of the vote on April 19, a decision was made to hold a repeat vote in 11 polling stations. On April 22, by-elections were held in 11 constituencies of Inner Manipur.
