Holidays: Jaipur (Sachhoon News). To ensure 100 percent voting in the 2024 Lok Sabha general elections in the state, the first and second phase polling days have been declared public holidays. Chief Electoral Officer Praveen Gupta said that as per the order issued by the General Administration Department on March 22, 2024, there would be a public holiday on the polling day. In all the border states, employees of private and public organizations will have paid holidays on polling day, in this regard the border states have also issued orders for public holidays and paid holidays. He said that for the first phase, Friday, April 19, 2024, and for the second phase, there will be a public festival on the polling day, April 26, in the respective Lok Sabha constituencies. Such employees who are registered in the electoral roll of the Lok Sabha constituency of the district, but who work outside the constituency, will be given leave with pay on polling day for voting in their constituency.
