Patamada In view of the Lok Sabha elections, on Saturday, on the instructions of the Senior Superintendent of Police, the police of Bodam police station launched a drive against illegal liquor. Based on confidential information, an illegal alcohol distillery which was running for several days was demolished at Bad Tal near Saat Nala. SI Majeed Khan of Bodam police station said that as soon as the information was received about the arrival of the police, the people doing illegal liquor business managed to escape. He said that about 200 kilos of Mahua Java and all the materials used to make liquor were broken and destroyed during this period. He said the operator is being traced. SI Majeed Khan, SI Binod Tudu and the armed forces were part of the operation.
