The referral hospital built by the building construction department in the block 34 years ago has now turned into a ghost bungalow. The building was constructed due to the efforts of the then Member of Parliament Kishori Sinha for better health facilities in the western region of the district. But, due to political-administrative neglect, the referral hospital could not get recognition from the government. Public representatives also made no efforts for health services, because of which the referral hospital built at Lakim’s expense is now demolished. In every election, the platform demands a referral to a hospital.
