Strong arrangements for fire safety in the DNW BSL section cable tunnel Achi-News

City Correspondent Executive Director (Personnel & Administration & Additional Pay Operator) Rajan Prasad installed the fire door and fire barrier panel in the basement of Bokaro DNW Steel Works Division Main Step Down Substation and its associated cable tunnel. Power supply is distributed to all departments through cables, for smooth distribution, all departments of the plant were connected to HT cable network. A fireproof door is useful when there is a fire in the cable tunnel for some reason. Fire doors prevent fire from spreading from one compartment to another. Fireproof panels prevent cable fire from spreading further, thereby reducing loss of life and property and helping the plant run smoothly. Regarding the fire safety management of the DNW division, General Manager (DNW) Dilip Kumar Gond said that more steps are being taken for fire safety in the cable tunnel and for this, equipment such as fire-proof doors and anti- fire are used. During this, Chief General Manager (Maintenance) PK Baisakhia, Chief General Manager (Security and Fire Services) BP Sartape, Chief General Manager (DNW) N Bhatia and officers and employees of other departments were present.
