New Delhi: Voting for the first phase of the 18th Lok Sabha Elections has ended. Voting was held today for 102 constituencies of 21 states including union territories. When voting closed, it was reported that approximately 59.7 percent of voting had taken place. 63.2% voting in Tamil Nadu, 50.3% in Rajasthan, 57.5% in Uttar Pradesh and 63.3% in Madhya Pradesh.
Along with the Lok Sabha elections, the ongoing assembly elections in Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh saw voter turnout of 67.5 and 64.7 percent respectively.
How many constituencies from which state were voted today?
Voted for Tamil Nadu (39), Rajasthan (12), Uttar Pradesh (8), Madhya Pradesh (6), Uttarakhand (5), Arunachal Pradesh (2), Meghalaya (2). Voted for Andaman and Nicobar Islands (1), Mizoram (1), Nagaland (1), Puducherry (1), Sikkim (1) and Lakshadweep (1).
Five each in Assam and Maharashtra, four in Bihar, three in West Bengal, two in Manipur and one each in Tripura, Jammu and Kashmir and Chhattisgarh.
