First phase of deportation of illegal immigrants from Myanmar has ended in Manipur Achi-News

GUWAHATI: The first phase of deportation of illegal immigrants from Myanmar has been successfully completed without discrimination from Thursday, May 2.

This was announced by Prime Minister N. Biran Singh on X (formerly Twitter).

The deportation was completed today with 38 people leaving Manipur today through Mora.

This increases the total number of deportees in the initial phase to 77.

Additionally, during the handover ceremony, one Indian citizen was brought back from Myanmar.

N. Biran Singh took X to issue, “The first phase of the deportation of illegal immigrants from Myanmar has been completed today.
Without any discrimination, we have completed the first phase of deporting illegal immigrants from Myanmar with 38 more immigrants leaving Manipur, India today via Mora. A total of 77 applicants were expelled in the first stage. One Indian national was also brought back from Myanmar during the handover ceremony.

The state government continues to identify illegal immigrants and at the same time biometric data is recorded. Let’s keep our borders and country secure.”
