A Pakistani Day reception was held by the Pakistan High Commission in the Indian capital, New Delhi.
Political leaders, diplomats, the business community, representatives of civil society and prominent Muslim personalities of Delhi attended the Pakistan High Commission reception.
Nazim-ul-Amor Saad Ahmed Waraich welcomed the distinguished guests at Chancery Lawn, he highlighted the importance of Pakistan Day on this occasion.
According to the announcement of the Pakistan High Commission, the guests were served traditional Pakistani food, and documentaries on the beautiful places and national heritage of Pakistan were also shown.
Speaking at the event, Affairs Coordinator Saad Ahmed Waraich said that the historic decision of the Pakistan Movement was formed on March 23, 1940 in Lahore.
He says that the founders of Pakistan and India envisioned a happy relationship between the two countries, unfortunately the history of our bilateral relations has been full of challenges.
Nazeem-ul-Amour Saad Ahmad Waraich further says that our destiny is not a period of conflict and chronic tensions, we can create a future of hope for the people by leaving the past with peace and harmony, respect for each other.
He also said that the goal of peace and stability in the region can be achieved by promoting mutual understanding, peace and stability in the region can be established by resolving long standing disputes including Jammu and Kashmir.
