New Delhi: Heated voting markets on wealth redistribution or inheritance taxes. BJP is constantly firing cannons against Congress. In this scenario, in an exclusive interview with News18 on Sunday ahead of the third phase of the election, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the BJP has no plans to implement inheritance tax.

Modi told Rahul Joshi, Group Editor of Network 18, “One of their ‘Mahashya’ was interviewed in America. From there the issue of inheritance tax arose. Around 55 per cent tax on your property. When I talk about development and legacy, they try to rob the legacy. My duty is to tell the compatriots who are looking where they want to take the country. Now it’s your decision to go or not. But I will tell the truth to the compatriots based on facts and importance.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today clarified what BJP thinks about inheritance tax. In his words, “The ideology of the Bharatiya Janata Party has been presented in the manifesto. But we will try to implement their plans, how did you come up with such a thought? The BJP’s ideology is clear. We go before the country with our work and our manifesto. Don’t force their brilliant minds on us.”

Indian Overseas Congress Chairman Sam Pitroda praised the US inheritance tax in a recent interview. Not only that, he also said that it should be considered whether such a tax can be introduced in India. There is intense debate about that. BJP took such comments. The anti-cannon began to fire. However, the Congress rejected Pitroda’s statement as a personal comment.

Inheritance tax, in contrast, is a tax levied on the total value of a deceased person’s money and assets before it is distributed to legal heirs. There is no such tax in India at present.

“Naxalite Ideology of Urban Wealth Redistribution”

When asked about Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s ‘X-ray’ or ‘socio-economic survey’ ie redistribution of wealth among the backward sections of the society, Prime Minister Narendra Modi called it an ‘urban Naxal’ ideology.

He said, “X-ray means ransacking every house. If a woman keeps gold in rice bran, it will also be X-rayed. Jewelery will be confiscated. Land deeds will be checked and redistribution will be done. It is completely an ‘Urban Naxalite’ mentality. Such Maoist ideology has done the world no good.”

He added, “This is why the Jamaat, which usually supports through writings, is silent even 10 days after the publication of the Congress manifesto. This is how they are helping. This silence is to protect them .So now it is my duty to wake up the country they are planning to rob you.The next part of Manmohan Singh has already made it clear who has the first right to the country their intentions clear.”

“The Congress Manifesto has a Muslim League Edition”

Criticizing the grand old party’s manifesto, Prime Minister Narendra Modi questioned whether political party manifestos were ‘showpieces’ during elections.

Modi said, “I said this on the first day after seeing the manifesto. I believe he has the impression of a Muslim League. I thought the media would be surprised. But in practice, it was seen that whatever was presented by the Congress, still said that”. He added, “I waited for 10 days. I thought someone would mention the errors in the manifesto. Judged impartially, it stands that way. I finally forced myself to open my mouth. I brought the truth before everyone.”

“Vibrant economy”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the central government has made huge reforms in banking and the economy in the last 10 years. He said, “We have opened 52 crore new bank accounts. I took the most advantage of it. By linking Jan Dhan, mobile and Aadhaar together, government scheme funds are sent directly to bank accounts. 36 lakh crore, which is a huge number, has been sent to people’s accounts (through direct benefit transfer). This huge financial inclusion has happened in our country (because of opening accounts). This number is more than the number of accounts opened in the world in a year. We launched Jal Jeevan Mission. People in rural areas in India will get water directly through taps, as well as in urban areas. Today, 14 crore rural households have access to tap water.”

The Prime Minister felt that development work had brought 25 crore people out of poverty. In his words, “We have empowered the poor. My strategy is to give so much power to the poor, the poor, so much power that the poor can overcome poverty themselves. And when the poor overcome poverty through hard work, they don’t want to go back that way. It is also a commitment and they become the strength of the country. “

He added, “The entire country is benefiting today as 25 crore people have been lifted out of poverty. This is a great achievement. The whole world praises him. It will become a model for developing countries. You must have seen what the situation was before 2014. The title was ‘Fragile 5’. Today we have become a vibrant economy.”

The Prime Minister has tried to present the picture of the country’s economy to the compatriots with several statistics. At the time, he said, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has a group of 150 countries in the world, including India and China, which can be called developing or emerging economies. the obvious

Modi said, “They have analyzed such countries in a group. very interesting India’s GDP per capita in 1998 was about 30 percent, compared to others in the peer group. At that time the Atalji government was in power. From 1998 to 2004, Otology took this number from 30 percent to 35 percent. Great progress. But unfortunately in 2004 Khichri government came. They pour water on Atalji’s work. Bring the number down from 35 per cent to 30 per cent. Other countries (in peer group) are starting to outperform India. During the UPA era, India grew in poverty compared to other countries in the developing world. Those who were poorer than us, they went ahead.”

The Prime Minister then highlighted the work of the current government. He said, “After forming the government in 2014, until 2019, you will be glad to know that we have taken the PA figure to 37 percent. And in 2024 this number is 42 percent. That is, our income has increased very quickly compared to other countries in the world. Looking at the ten year inflation rate, inflation is at its lowest. What I am saying is based on reality. This is our achievement after a lot of hard work. We have united the whole government and made every effort to reach the goal. What is Modi still saying? Modi says it is just a trailer, there is a long way to go. I want to move very quickly with the country.”

“Bangalore: From Tech Hub to Tanker Hub”

The Chief Minister openly discussed various aspects of state politics. He said the people of Karnataka regretted bringing Congress to power.

In Modi’s words, “Our public support has not decreased, but increased. They still have unresolved issues like the post of Prime Minister in such a short period of time. A prime minister has been sworn in, but no one knows who is running the state. Looking at the law and order situation, it can be seen that incidents such as riots and murders have increased. The economy is going bankrupt. The Deputy CM is seeking votes for his brother, so he can become Prime Minister. Everyone plays games. Talking about BJP, my party lost but we worked with team spirit. “

Modi took the Congress government alone over the water vulnerabilities of the people of Karnataka. Pointing out the incompetence of the state government, he said, “Bengaluru has played a major role in shining the name of India all over the world. It was once known as the hub of technology. It has now become a tanker hub in no time. The tanker is also in the possession of the mafia. People die for one drop of water.”
