BSF rejects Trinamool’s claims of voter intimidation in the second phase of voting Achi-News

Border security forces claim, BSF is not deployed at the booth in Ballurghat where intimidation was alleged.

Kolkata : BSF by the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) in Bengal during morning voting for the second phase of the Lok Sabha elections on Friday.
The force completely rejected the claims of intimidation and harassment of voters in the border area. Calling the allegations false, the Border Security Force (BSF) has claimed that BSF personnel are not deployed at booth number 202 in the Balurghat Lok Sabha constituency, where allegations of threats and harassment of voters have been leveled. Earlier, in its official post, TMC wrote – despite Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s warning that BSF troops were terrorizing voters in the border areas, the Election Commission stood as a mute spectator. The party claimed that we now have evidence of voter intimidation and harassment by the BSF, under the control of the Union Home Ministry, at Batun GP booth number 202, Balurghat.

After this allegation, BSF North Bengal Border Headquarters posted on Twitter claiming that BSF was not posted at stall number 202 in Batun GP of Balurghat. Obey orders strictly. Any false claim will only provide incorrect information. BSF is committed to free and fair elections. Let us tell you that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and TMC are constantly targeting the BSF who is guarding the international border. The party has been continuously making serious allegations against BSF. However, BSF has always denied the allegations let us tell you that in the second phase, like other states in the country, the voting is held in three Lok Sabha seats of Bengal, Darjeeling, Reagan and Balorgate. These three regions share borders with Bangladesh.
