Jim Messina – who also served as Barack Obama’s 2012 campaign manager – said CNN: “Being president of the United States means you are part of a small club; there is no other group of people whose red flags about the immediate threat of Donald Trump should be taken more seriously.”
Joe Biden has been criticizing the business mogul for undermining democracy and the institutions of the United States with his false claims such as the rigid elections of 2020.
Trump, 77, has been facing four criminal indictments and 91 felony charges including election interference in 2020 in Georgia, keeping classified documents after leaving office, embezzling money from an adult movie star, and inciting supporters to attack the Capitol Hill. on January 6, 2021.
Barack Obama and his former White House team are providing their full support against the Republican businessman.
Messina also said former president Obama plans to do everything he can to help 81-year-old Biden secure a second term.
“That mission is only made significantly more urgent by the emergence of Trump as the presumptive Republican nominee,” he noted.
“President Obama once told me that every president is a reflection of the previous president, and he’s right. Trump was the complete opposite of Obama, and Biden is the complete opposite of Trump.”
On Thursday, President Biden, along with Obama and former president Bill Clinton are all set to sit down for a fundraiser at the Radio City Music Hall that is expected to be joined by people from the entertainment industry as well.
