GUWAHATI: Union Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari, a senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, on Wednesday faced a health scare when he lost consciousness while addressing a Lok Sabha election rally in Vatmal, Maharashtra.

Reports and viral videos on social media indicate that Gadkari suddenly started feeling dizzy while delivering his speech at Posad, Yebatmal, and then collapsed.

Concerned party workers quickly reacted by splashing water on his face and removing him from the stage.
They then requested medical assistance for the minister.
Gadkari actively campaigned for Rajeshree Patil, the BJP-Mahayuti candidate contesting from the Yavatmal-Washim Lok Sabha constituency.
