A married woman was murdered for dowry in Shapur police station area of Danapur. The family members accused the in-laws of mixing poison in a cold drink and forced them to drink it. The police took the body into custody and sent it for post-mortem at the sub-division hospital. The deceased has been identified as Malti Devi, wife of Ratanesh Rai, a resident of Sikanderpur Dam.

The deceased’s father Bharat Rai submitted a written application at the police station.
