The court of Additional District Judge and Sixth Sessions Judge POCSA Special Judge Vivekanand Prasad found the victim’s cousin and the rapist Ajzul Qurashi guilty and sentenced them to 20 years imprisonment for conspiring to rape a minor and inducing her to prostitution. Both were also fined Rs 15,000 each. Besides, an order was issued to give a grant of Rs 7.20 lakh to the victim under the Bihar Victim Compensation Scheme. After the verdict, the victim said that she was satisfied with the court’s decision.
