There was a daring theft in Mumbai last month. Diamonds, gold and cash worth Rs 2 crore were stolen from the house of a family member who had gone to Goa for a wedding. The Mumbai police rose to the challenge of investigating this theft. The house servant and two others were arrested in this case. Mumbai police arrested three people from Uttar Pradesh with the help of CCTV camera and technical team after registering the theft case. Cash and jewelry were recovered from the accused.
He went to get married and the servants took advantage of the opportunity
While informing about the theft case, a Mumbai police officer said that last month jewellery, diamonds and cash worth Rs 7 lakh were stolen from the house of a person living in Mumbai. The incident took place when the owner of the house went to Goa with his family to attend a wedding ceremony. After the wedding, when the landlord checked the cupboards of the house, diamonds and jewelery worth about two crore rupees and seven lakh rupees in cash were missing. The accused committed this theft while taking advantage of the owner’s marriage.

The homeowner was shocked when jewelry and cash disappeared from the closet. He immediately reported it to the police. After that, the police registered a case and started an investigation. The police checked the CCTV footage of the area and nabbed the two accused with the help of a technical team. Diamonds and gold ornaments were seized.

Niranjan Bhaliya (41 years old), Ramachalva Mako Paswan alias Gutia (26 years old) and jeweler Jayaprakash Harishankar Rastoji (59 years old) were arrested in the theft case. Jaiprakash Harishankar Rastogi assisted the accused in selling the stolen jewellery. The police are looking for other jewelers in this case. Last month, Bahlia and Paswan are the servants of this house. They broke the lock of the closet kept in the bedroom of their master’s house and escaped with the cash and jewelry.
