Mukhtar Ansari died: Banda. Mafia leader Mukhtar Ansari, who was being held in Banda jail, died of a heart attack on Thursday night. Sources at Rani Durgavati Medical College said that Ansari was taken to the hospital in a critical condition around 8.30 pm this evening. During the treatment, his health deteriorated and he died of a heart attack. After the death of the mafia, security has been increased in Banda, Ghazipur and Mau as a precautionary measure.
The Medical College Hospital has issued a medical bulletin confirming Mukhtar’s death. According to that, 63-year-old Mukhtar was brought to an unconscious state at 8.25 pm on the complaint of vomiting. A team of eight doctors began his treatment but despite their best efforts, the patient died of a heart attack.
According to prison sources, Mukhtar’s condition deteriorated on Thursday evening. The district administration was immediately informed. Immediately on information, District Magistrate Durga Shakti Nagpal and the entire administration including Superintendent of Police Ankur Aggarwal reached the jail with a team and with adequate security, he was immediately admitted to the Medical College.
According to medical college sources, Ansari was admitted to ICU from where he was shifted to CCU. All administrative officers including the District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police are present at the Medical College. Also, heavy police of the area reached the medical college campus.
Earlier on Tuesday, Mukhtar was admitted to the district hospital due to a stomach problem, where after resting, he was shifted to the jail.
