Due to the availability of water in the canal, farmers in the area are able to grow vegetables, due to lack of water there is anger among the villagers.

There is a lot of anger and disappointment among the farmers because water is not being released in the canal. So far the farmers have not been able to get any benefit from the canal which was built at a cost of crores of rupees. A dam has been constructed at Sikatia Deoghar. Whoever’s accumulated water must be given to the farmers for farming. With this purpose in mind, the Ajay Barrage Canal was constructed by spending crores of rupees during the tenure of the Government of Bihar. The farmer had given his land.

So that the farmers can irrigate the crops in their remaining fields and support themselves.
